Note on this - I'm still waiting for my CRD, but have a '06 Pathfinder with these on it. They are an absolute awesome tire, I have over 40k miles on these tires and they are still as quite as the other 2 sets of tires I've had on this truck (factory General Grabbers, and Pirelli Scorpion ATR), probably the best ride of the 3. Off-road (I do get mine muddy doing things at our farm and waterfowl hunting) they are pretty good. The Pirelli's were slightly better new, but the A/T2s are MUCH better with some miles on them.

The rock throwing issue is real though. The rear rocker panels both infront of and behind the rear tires are beaten up pretty bad, nearly all of which has happened with these tires on. If it weren't for that I'd put them on the Jeep the day it comes in, but I think I might wait and see if the factory tires are something I can make work for awhile.

They are top rated by consumer reports and reasonably priced. That's what I'm going with.

I'm pretty well settled on those as well. Just trying to decide if I play it safe and do the 265/65 r18 or go for it and do the 275/65 r18.

Will you have Quadra lift. If so, I would be very cautious. If no, there are lift kits that can ever so slightly lift enough to fit the wider tires if you run into a problem. Tire rack does not sell coopers but they have always been great at telling me how wide I could go. I have had wider than OEM recommendations on my VW. Tire Rack sold them and my dealer installed them. They were Porsche tires.

Especially on an SUV, because of the higher center of gravity, wider tires can make the possibility of a rollover marginally higher. (More grip less slide.)

I'm going with the same size tire and rim as the OEM.

Cooper DISCOVERER A/T3™ 265/60-18 with 18 inch ATX Artillery wheels. You showed 65 instead of the OEM 60. (With a larger diameter tire your speedometer will need to be adjusted.)

Edit: What weck said below about the spare was a good point as well.

I had the same thought (wanted to stay in my comfort zone with BFG A/Ts) but decided to go stock size. Asked in a couple of the tire threads if anyone knew what would happen w.r.t. the traction control system (since it is always AWD) if you ran a stock circumference spare with 3 slightly over sized tires... didn't get any hits. Didn't want to deal with shoving a bigger spare back there so stock size it was...

Re: 2014 JGC Diesel Ordering

Very unconcerned about the spare... that will be rarely used and the differential should handle it just fine. I've heard from multiple other threads/posts that the 275/65 R18 will work with QLII and since it is only an additional 1.5 inches in total diameter or .75 inches radius I'm pretty confident that they will fit with no rub. They are also only .4 inches wider than stock so I seriously doubt that is a concern.

However... that is why I am waffling between those and the only slightly larger than stock 265/65 R18 which add 1 inch diameter or .5 inches radius. This size has the same width as stock.

Re: 2014 JGC Diesel Ordering

I agree on the diff, I was more worried about how the traction control would behave, if it will think the slightly smaller tire is slipping and do strange things like try to brake that wheel constantly... you're probably right that it is a non-issue.
