Now to get back to the topic we currently use a Tekonsha P2 brake control and it works well with the R-POD.
The slide out definitely feels a lot roomier and is nice if you need to put a dog bed on the floor. I also agree that storage space is limited but there is room under the bed and under one bench of the dinette. I just purchases the Tekonsha P3 based on a discussion in another forum, just waiting for the Jeep!

Re: 2014 Summit with trailering package & no brake controler?

Thanks for the R-Pod info.

I've seen the P3 brake controller at the local trailer shop. Looks like a cool piece of equipment. Probably what we'll be using in our next/future tow vehicle (2014 Durango)

I am a P3 lover as well. I tried direct link and maybe for live loads due to some unusual energy transfer from the trailer it might be good but it didn't do much for my 7200 pound travel trailer.
