Wanted to take away the "seat of the pants" test feeling etc.
no complaints so far probably use more fuel but hard to say as I also swapped to Hankook Dynapro AT tyres at the same time as fitting the chip.

No answer? That's not a good sign...

It's a worry. If they sold us the software to allow us to re-establish the remap, that would be OK but so far I haven't heard anyone offering that.

The Bluespark doesn't alter the ECU parameters. It changes the duration of the injection pulses downstream from the engines controls. It may be detectable and is certainly easy to spot. The ECU tuning we are worried about losing after a dealer reprogram are simply altered values in the ECU that "might* get overwritten. Paying $500 for a tune that gets wiped with a dealer visit would be regrettable. Software to restore the settings would be required before they get my money.

Hi, I'm still loving the remap, no problems at all in the 4000 miles i've had it, if your thinking about getting a tuning box then i'd look into a remap before ordering one, my Bluespark was good but the remap is on a different level, the power all through the rev range is addictive.

Me and my Bro who also has his remapped had a race with a 2010 Range Rover Sport HSE yesterday and from 30 to 100 we just pulled away, I was expecting to get wasted by him but no, must have pulled a good 15mt on him.

As for the towing debate, I've have no idea if it would be any good but I don't tow so its good for me and as for the can it be wiped my the dealer question, still no idea, I don't use my dealer as I don't trust them with my baby, Celtic did mention that the dealer wouldn't be able to see it, the only people who could find it would be the JEEP factory where there programmed but for me its unlikely if it would ever get sent back for a fault, if I did have a problem then the ECU would be put back to standard before it went in for any engine warranty work plus my map came with a years warranty against any engine failures.

I'd recommend a remap all the way, 60mph in 6 secs in a diesel 4x4 is worth every penny for the map, and the mpg is the same as with the Bluespark.

Thanks SRTROB. Do you know if Celtic reduced the EGR as part of the new tune? Regards

That's a serious tune if your getting a 0-60 mph in 6.0 seconds. Stock at 240 HP is 7.8 sec. The BlueSpark will get you down to 6.8 range. Shaving 1.8 sec off stock times is a serious improvement!

Re: Anyone tuned a CRD yet?

I have been negotiating with Bluespark for Australian Distribution and am organising my first order with them. If anyone is interested there are some modest savings to be made by ordering through me at the moment.

PM me if interested.

regards,

Pete
