it depends on your driving style. I like the highest setting E9..... but mine throws a code eventually when the motor is heat soaked and at light throttle. E7 works great with good low end torque and strong midrange Some of the curves where sluggish. Experement and.let us know.

I can run E9 on mine no worries, it's good fun. Lately I've been running D9, seems to give a good push down low but not as much high up in the revs.
I have no more points left on my licence.

Re: Anyone tuned a CRD yet?

Finally...working EGT xguage codes for the Scanguage2 display. This is the pre-DPF EGT temperature the reacts immediately to load. Its critical for towing and highly tuned diesels.

EGT 1 (Degrees Fahrenheit)

TXD: 07DF0178

RXF: 054106780000

RXD: 3810

MTH: 00090032FFD8

NAM: EGT

Re: Anyone tuned a CRD yet?

Been off for a while so missed the comments re benefits of larger exhaust down from DPF. I'm still waiting on Brendan from Diesel Power to come to Bris to install the Celtic Tune but in chatting to him he agreed that he'd want to see a before and after dyno for an exhaust upgrade with DPF in place before justifying the cost of the exhaust. I've ordered the AFE CAI from Morriss 4x4 in the states which was on back order and should be shipping next week.
Fingers crossed it'll be here before Brendan makes it to Brisbane and we'll get before and after Dyno's for CAI and ECU remap.
I figure for $400 if the CAI gives me better response i'm happy. Will post results when I have them.

I will give you an update as soon as HPX pull their finger out hopefully only another 2 weeks max. For me its not just about possible extra power which I know aint going to be alot but also the possible drop in EGT and sound I have before logs so will be able compare as well.

Not sold on the AFE as yet will be interesting to see temps and pressures before and after considering its open to the engine bay, I will wait to see what Banks comes up with. Ideally the CAI should be enclosed with the OEM ram made bigger to push more air in and thru.

I will hopefully have a update with the exhaust in a couple of weeks.

Cheers

This is from memory so may be inaccurate.

1. Press the 5th button if its in Gauge mode to exit, then More-->More. You will see < Mode > then scroll right to < Xguage > then select Edit.

2. Use the buttons to select an Xgauge slot. They are numbered. Select "Edit" and enter the codes as prompted. After you enter the codes and give it a 3 letter name, it will appear in the list of available gauges.

Re: Anyone tuned a CRD yet?

I just found another xguage code that returns a temperature lower than the CAT temp. I believe the CAT temp codes are actually returning the DPF temp, and the new code I have is the lower CAT temp. Under non-regen conditions, I dont see it being possible to increase temperature downstream so the lowest must be the CAT, the highest must be at the exhaust manifold, and the DPF is in the middle.

New EGT Codes are posted here:

Re: Anyone tuned a CRD yet?

Guys got my bluespark on Thursday, through it on very simple took about 20 minutes. Tried E7 & now E9 no codes yet. What can I say difference between bluespark and factory is like night and day no lag responsive plenty of down low and up high, for the money brilliant. So from here I'm considering 3 inch exhaust with 3 inch DPF custom CAI with external pick up behind front grill and larger intercooler for more efficient cooling of air.
