Re: Anyone tuned a CRD yet?

I now have my Celtic tune installed with the AFE Magnum Power Intake and have spent a 100klms behind the wheel. The difference from about 2,100rpm on is fantastic. I had a new scantool bluetooth adapter arrive in the post today from the US and connected it this afternoon and was able to configure the Torque Pro Android App for quater mile, Torque, HP and Exhaust Gas Temp readings. I just need to find some time to do some cold starts at WOT but without traffic or kids in the car and will post the screen shots.
Let me know if anyone wants any other data and I'll see if I can capture it.

Chocco check out the custom exhaust that Stewart Murchison has on his Murchison Products FB page. It's custom hand tigged for about $2,100 i think, but don't quote me.
Good to hear you finally got the tune.

I am not a Facebook person but have been checking their website regularly, however that exhaust look friggin awesome, and they are also doing a intake tube as well. They will have dyno up shortly so will wait till there up.

I was doing some postage research on exhaust from the states and looking about $400, so am just waiting to see how much Banks are going to charge, or if the Tax cheq is big enough, Murch it is. I just ordrered a heap of Black parts from the states which I took from my exhaust fund !!!

I think that goes for any car with a turbo. Turbos make the best mufflers.

That's the best price so far an ECU remap.

I think turbos reduce the exhaust note some but a straight piped turbodiesel isn't quiet by any stretch. Add a DPF and CAT to that pipe and it'll never be loud, mufflers or not.

Re: Anyone tuned a CRD yet?

Brendon the Australian distributor of the Celtic ECU tune is prepared to come to Perth and carryout the Celtic tune if he can get 5-6 takers.
Cost is $1485 for bench tune
$1265 for Port tune
+$ 200/300 for DPF delete ( Not stainless steel pipe )

You can contact him and register your interest on his Facebook page " Diesel Power Unlimited" or PM me with your address and I can send you one of his pamphlets.

$200 for "DPF delete"? Surely he can't mean to physically replace the DPF with a straight through S/S pipe for just $200?

Re: Anyone tuned a CRD yet?

I thought that in the context of tuning, a DPF Delete would refer to coding it out... so you don't throw fault codes once it's disconnected. Surely the tuning guy isn't flying in with fabrication tools!

Cheers,
Steve

You're right in that sense. But you will still need to physically remove the dpf to do a dpf delete. Removing it from the ecu is half of it.
