My EGT can hit 845 Celsius if I floor it. Cat 1 bank 1 I've seen hit 700 with a DPF burn. I have Bluespark pro + boost set to maximum. I'll have to do some monitoring with it removed and report back.

Yeah seems high, you need to hold it flat out to there. Highway temps at 120 km/h are between 400 -500

Re: Anyone tuned a CRD yet?

I was recently running my GC without the blues park pro+ boost, and regularly saw 450-500 deg C while driving around town, now with bluespark refitted temps are similar, measured on a Scangauge 2

It's interesting that at idle the EGT is less that the CAT temp. Back the point in question, I can't see too many running their bluesparks or remaps on max and then putting the peddle to the metal for any length of time at least not on the street. Anyway I've seen CAT temps drop dramatically as soon one lifts the foot off a bit so I'm not too worried about heat excesses for a few seconds. The sudden drop is because when engine braking, the engine becomes a very effective air pump blasting fresh air through the exhaust system. This is more so with diesels because they always run with a wide open throttle.

Yes Bob the cat temps are normally lower than the EGT except during a DPF burn and are also slower to rise and fall than EGT 's, so with regards to that screenshot were probably on the way down.

That's all good Bob, but the thing that worries me is towing a heavy van / boat etc where you have the throttle down for extended periods under load.......

Cheers, Craig

How did you get the DPF % its not in my Torque, is it a custom PID if so can you share the settings please
The % DPF full calculated value will have to be added as a custom PID.

in Torque: settings > manage available OBD2 PIDs > menu > + Add custom PID

OBD2 PID : 01 8B (aka Mode: 01, PID: 8B)
name : % DPF
min : 0
max : 100
scale factor : 1
units : %
equation: C*100/255
Info from Steve Guru, small edits to perhaps make it easier.

Cheers,
Steve
