Hello all. Here's today's effort, no Bluespark. Same road 150 km/h max EGT noticeably lower. Next I'll try factory Bluespark settings

Re: Anyone tuned a CRD yet?

Have you done any comparison fuel economy testing between bluespark box ans stock? Lower EGTs during cruising typically signal better fuel economy.

No I haven't. After two trips without tuning box EGTs on highway and cruising suburbs seem similar, but with a less volatile range on hard acceleration. Would have to do fuel testing that doesn't rely on evic to notice true consumption. One thing that noticeably affected fuel consumption was fitting 285 /50/20 Cooper zeons, lost about 100 km a tank

That's right and when trying to get out of a bog too. I guess the thing to do is to set it to the minimum boost required for the conditions expected. What gives me some confidence with my MY12 is that MY14+ models, with essentially the same engine, run at a rail pressure of 2000bar up from 1800bar and produce more power and torque so it would seem Jeep feel the CRD is quite capable of giving a little more. Also, so far there have been no reports of engine issues with "chipped" engines. Although would anyone say if they did have an issue.

Doubt it. Actually there seems to be an undercurrent of opinion that when things go wrong, pull the chip and hit up the dealer for warranty. I find this quite disturbing.

Cheers,
Steve

I think it would be important to let other members know. So far, no problems for me though, touch wood.
