Re: Anyone tuned a CRD yet?

Looks like the same thing, just a couple of dollars more.
I can't remember if Dashcommand allows for custom PIDs.

If so, or if you get Fusion, here is the details for DPF and CAT

OBD II PIDs

% DPF full calculated value.

Name: DPF % full
Mode: 01
PID: 8B
Min: 0
Max: 100
Units : %
Equation: C*100/255.

"CAT temp Bank1 Sensor1"

Name: CAT Temp
Mode: 01
PID: 3C
Min: -40
Max: 6513.5
Units : C
Equation: ((A*256)+B)*0.1 -40

Can't find anything on the Dashcommand site that says anything about customizing PIDs... Looks like Fusion is the way to go.

Re: Anyone tuned a CRD yet?

For those contemplating scanners, I bought an Actron shortly after getting my MY12 CRD. It had only the generic codes. It turns out that auto manufactures release their specific codes only about 5 years after first release of the model. So 3 years on, I haven't had a software update on my Action which means it is still severely limited.

Re: Anyone tuned a CRD yet?

Cleared the active and pending fuel too rich code but there is a permanent fuel too rich code set. What's up with that?

I've been using OBDFusion for a long time, very happy with that.

As for pending, and "permanent" codes, I'm not sure about that.

Maybe someone else knows the answer to that one??

Yes, I get those types of codes as well, and sorry I don't know they mean. The last codes I had when I had my Bluespark on "D9" settings had something to do with network and service throttle, which I ended up removing the Bluespark to fix. I have since reinstalled Bluespark on the same settings and had no problems. I've had the odd code on a few different settings, even "C5" which put the car in limp mode, and most clear with my phone and torque app but I still haven't worked out the correct technique to do it.
Does anyone know this? Eg. Motor running or off with ign on?
Any help appreciated.
So far I've run "C5,C9,D9,and E9"

Most of the time from what I have found to clear coded the ignition must be on but the engine off.

Following on from my previous post, I'm totally p***ed off with Actron. There have been no software updates on my CP9580 for three years. It is now discontinued and they have the CP9580A with all the latest updates. So they add a letter to the model number and it's a case of too bad how sad, if you want a software update, buy a new one.

Re: Anyone tuned a CRD yet?

Actron sound like they might be a subsidiary of Jeep.

Sorry for joking Bob... that's a disappointing situation.

Re: Anyone tuned a CRD yet?

Contacted bluespark about the code and Ed said the fuel too rich is very unusual. Instead of immediately resetting it the last time it showed I just left it alone and it cleared itself in about 100 miles. Hasn't come back yet in over 200 miles.

And yes, ignition on but engine not running to clear codes.

That fits with my experience. I drive on setting C9 and have never had a code.

Had my car tuned and here are some vids both before and after using Uconnect to calculate and Kw/Nm.

Before the tune I could not hit 600 ever, now easy.

Still have to log more data as the EGTs are a bit on the high side, but havent done exhaust or intercooler yet either.
