According to my dealer Chrysler Australia has recently sent the already grossly high prices of oil filters out of the ball park. Is there any place (maybe online from the USA) one can buy, say a six pack of oil filters or maintenance packs. with all the filters, does anyone have the correct part number for an oil filter for a Jan 2014 built Diesel I seem to have conflicting numbers? I want my own mechanic to do some of the services.

Knock off Korean will fit filters, oil filter media comes apart send shit though the engine, guy in Korea changes his company name and you get nothing. Wait till a real company starts selling these filters. Until then OEM only.

Really! Seriously?

That's scare mongering if ever there was. And yes, factory prices (like much of the servicing costs) are extortion. I've used Wesfill filters on previous cars and my wife's car, great quality, can't fault them, no more chance of failure than any others out there, incl Chrysler branded. I bet they get theirs made for about $5 - or less.

Re the WCO163 and the WA5135
Those part numbers DO fit the 2014. The only difference with the later genuine oil filter part number is that they've moved the position of the O ring slightly for commonality with some of the Dodge Rams.

In any event Ryco are doing filters for Jeeps now too.

Are you suggesting they're rubbish too? Jeep must absolutely love people like you! (Or do you work for them?)
I've used Ryco on all my cars since the early 1970's with absolutely ZERO issues, ever.
