Code P20EE

Code P20EE just popped up on me on my drive home today. I searched the forum and did not find anything on it. Has anyone else experienced this code yet? I have just under 8000 miles on the Jeep right now and this will be the 3rd trip to the dealer now.

Thanks for any help.

P20EE = SCR NOx catalyst efficiency below threshold bank 1

SCR = selective catalytic reduction

Have your dealer look at this asap before you go into limp mode. I believe there' a TSB on this.

Re: Code P20EE

I got that a couple of months back, when mine had about 3,000 miles on it. The dealer inspected, found nothing wrong, then reset it. That's the only time mine has needed a dealer visit. I'm currently at 5,200 miles, I don't drive it a lot.

Yeah, it was a little odd.

Re: Code P20EE

Trigger and nookie, what happened with your P20EE codes? I got it today and would like to know what action the service guys should do.

They flushed my def tank and ran a Regen..... I got it back and the code came back within 100 miles. They are now waiting on some special tools to diagnose it yet they can't tell me what these tools are. So at the moment I'm driving it around with a cel on.

Re: Code P20EE

How ironic, look what I got tonight!!.
Have not driven this car 1500 miles without this code.
I have the latest TSB's for DEF/SCR, run OEM DEF from Chrysler.
Problem is this code usually disappears after 20 miles on the highway and is gone by the time I hit the dealer.
Frustrating.

Re: Code P20EE

I kind of feel bad for highjacking this thread since it is in the export section. Oh well. I took my vehicle in for service this morning. We will see what they say about my P20EE code.

EDIT: The service manager called and said that the problem is probably the catalytic converter (as expected). They have ordered parts and hope to have them in a couple days.

Re: Code P20EE

Update. Now the service manager says that they have a DEF injector on order and it is in back order status. He does not know when he will get it. So, they are not replacing any cat' part.

Figures. Maybe I can keep the DEF injector they take off......
It does appear that catalytic converter is the fix. But, I guess they need to replace parts in the order they think is correct.

Re: Code P20EE

Update on mine!!. Replaced the Catalytic converter on it today, new & shiny., even smells like it's being broken in.
Just about 1 year to the date I've been driving around with P20EE/DEF messages. hopefully this is the end of it!.

Had 2 recalls done @ same time, dealer has been excellent help through all of this. will keep you posted.
