I would imagine that could/would be excluded with the wear items like tires, fuel filters and bake pads.

^x2. Exactly, the CRD is becoming something like a mythical unicorn... and everyone knows unicorns don't break.

I'm honestly surprised the 2014 Jeeps were on the lot in March. Maybe that's standard for Jeep and it's just me being uninformed, but that seems fairly early.

Additionally, they've announced the late availability of the CRD just about every chance they get.

Granted I haven't been baited into thinking it was supposed to come earlier, but I feel like May 2013 is a little early to be making claims of mythical status for something listed as late availability for the MY14 JGC

Re: Diesel Extended Warranty

I'm trying to be objective in asking myself, "what if I didn't know of this site?" Even then, the diesel has been on price and build since early March and you can't miss the section on the jeep site promoting the mpg of the ecodiesel. Granted the average consumer would not notice the ecodiesel badge close up on the tv adds, but still it's on their site.

Contrast to Mazda that has announced a diesel in the 6 but you can't find it on the website yet, even though it is due out around August supposedly.

Yeah, from my point of view, just seeing the late availability disclaimer got me thinking September to start with. Only recently have I realized it could be sooner.

They have known the diesel was going to be late for some time, which means it wasn't small gap. They would have tried to just close the gap if it were just a few weeks.

Re: Diesel Extended Warranty

I work in extended warranties, Swann, Allianz and The Warranty Group all do extended manufacturer warranties that are fully underwritten and protected by external dispute resolution. Any of these companies are pretty good, don't buy a non insurance warranty, they are a rip off. Even though our well travelled wk2 has had no issues I will be purchasing a warranty extension.

Does anyone have any recommended 3rd party warranties that would provide the Diesel coverage to extend the factory warranty?
