Looks like the Oil cooler had died in my jeep and need to get a replacement. (Got lots of oil in the Radiator Fluid Reservoir) and been traced back to the engine oil cooler...

Looks like I need to purchase the entire oil cooler/oil filter assembly? The part number for the 2014 ecodiesel is 68211323AB but would be good to get a bit of a verification thats the same for the 2012 3.0L CRD...

Does anyone know if you can just buy the oil cooler on its own as well?

Im guessing it comes with all the gaskets, etc required...

Thanks all!

Gary

While they look great, I don't really know that I have time to custom build this into a 2012 Grand Cherokee..

I'm really surprised you cannot just buy the oil cooler part on its own though - seems like it's almost a consumable like an oil filter..!!

Well I have the part numbers now... (thanks to Milous!) - for anyone else that may need them for the 3.0l 2012 export diesel...

68211440AC FILTER/COOLER ASSEMBLY,Oil
68148362AA GASKET, Oil Filter Housing

BUT - these are labelled as export only parts so cannot buy them from the US at all where they are around $400 US.

In Australia, they want an astonishing $1500 US..!!! (Around $2000 Aussie)...

Anyone know of any sites in the U.K./Europe/other where I could purchase this part...??

Or... if I was to purchase the 2014 ecodiesel assembly.. I actually only need the oil cooler - would anyone know if the oil cooler is the same between the 2..??

Hi Darthgus,
How did you go with the cooler replacement? I am about to do mine 2014 eco diesel. a lot of time has passed since you had to do yours & I didn't have too much trouble sourcing the cooler only. did you need to drain both oil & coolant to do the job? did you remove the whole assembly or just the cooler?

Cheers Tim
