That is excellent! Did you use cruise control at all?

For the benefit of site members, would you mind going back and doing it normal mode? Just kidding!

Another figure to add to the list.
We just finished a trip in an Overland CRD with 4 up plus lots of luggage. We did around 1200 kms and averaged 9.2 l per 100km.
Our best was a long stretch at about 8.4 l per 100km but 6 hours coming home in steady rain on a very wet road blew the average out a bit.
I am very happy with this, especially having got used to 15/17 l per 100 km in a Pajero.

Lead foot! :-)

I have noticed my fuel consumption is progressively dropping. I am currently getting 10.3lt/100km city driving in moderate to heavy traffic. I only have clocked 4400km.

Re: Fuel consumption on my new 3.0 CRD limited -

ok, in the netherlands we can drive only 100Km/h on most highways, and i get 8.3L/100km on cruise during those drives, mixed consumption is now about 9.9.

if they would have fitted a zf 8-speed like they should have this would have been waay better..

Re: Fuel consumption on my new 3.0 CRD limited -

10.6l/100 after 1350kms, mostly stop/start suburban driving and short trips. It must absolutely sip fuel on a 110km/hr cruise.
