Maserati uses JGC based diesel engine?

Looks like Maserati may base its new SUV diesel on the Jeep diesel + extra turbo..

Re: Maserati uses JGC based diesel engine?

What a riot! Maybe I can record a Harley and play it on my stereo with the windows open while I drive around in my V6! And BTW that vehicle gets uglier with every new drawing of it I see.

Re: Maserati uses JGC based diesel engine?

Back to the twin turbos though. It would be awesome as a retrofit in the GC!

Re: Maserati uses JGC based diesel engine?

Yeah that would be kool..But also Maserati must have a lot of faith in the VM Motori Engine.

Re: Maserati uses JGC based diesel engine?

diesel purists will be insulted, since they love the rattle of the diesel. I wish a bolt on muffler would give the 3.0L CRD the sound of a v8, but in all the reading I've done to date, it cannot be done.

Re: Maserati uses JGC based diesel engine?

I wonder what type of power people can get from the 3.0L once the tuners get their hands on it. Why can't more diesels make the cut in America

that Hamann exhaust certainly doesn't sound like a diesel.

In September 2012 Porsche announced the Cayenne S Diesel. This model is fitted with the Audi 4.2 V8 TDI engine.
