My recently purchased 2012 diesel needs rear self leveling shocks replacing after 93K which indicates it has done some hard work but the dealer didn't mention that.
Does anyone know if they can be replaced by non self leveling units which I assume would be cheaper as I won't be doing heavy work or towing?
Hi Chris
I'm led to believe that should you change from self level shocks, which you can readily do, the ball weight loading drops from 350kg to 250kg.

Chris
I just replace mine as one was leaking oil.$650.00 for two Nivomat delivered from Rock Auto USA (only took 7 days) + $200.00 for Fulcrum to install. You can get after market set up but the towing rating is reduced.
Baxter, thanks for that information. Apparently mine are not leaking badly enough to replace just yet. Ride was my main concern which I have improved by keeping the fuel tank full.
