Rear Self Leveling Shocks

My recently purchased 2012 diesel needs rear self leveling shocks replacing after 93K which indicates it has done some hard work but the dealer didn't mention that.
Does anyone know if they can be replaced by non self leveling units which I assume would be cheaper as I won't be doing heavy work or towing?

Hi Chris
I'm led to believe that should you change from self level shocks, which you can readily do, the ball weight loading drops from 350kg to 250kg.

Re: Rear Self Leveling Shocks

they can be replaced with non-self-leveling, IIRC you need to buy a few extra parts though (the upper mount is different)
