If the screen can look as good as the evic and gear selection/odometer on the gauges I'm definitely considering having Bob do it.
The display is a high pressure, high voltage, gas charged display. They can run anywhere from 250 volts up to 600 volts. It generates its own luminescence by grace of exciting the electrons and gasses (much like an old monochrome CRT).
Using gels, I could turn it red, blue and green. Yellow is a no go (just tried it). Orange is a MAYBE...
Here's a pic of a low speed bus HU that I am working on. I have all but one light bank figured out for LED's. Tonight I'll finish reverse engineering that one and it should be online and on its way back to it's home. <EDIT: I finished the radio and it looks fantastic!>
The rings around the knobs are lit all the way around, but LED's just don't photograph well...
This is a one off, pale yellow job that I'm doing, but I can do all the standard colors (e.g. red/blue/orange/amber/green)
<EDIT: I took a look... this is an REF. I can do the REC / RAK / REF / RAR / REJ radio's too>
