Is Wanting a 4x4 Capable SRT8 Wrong?

Okay...

I currently have a fully loaded 4x4 V8 2012 WK2 Overland and like it a lot. What I don't like is the lack of raw overall takeoff power and the 114 Mph speed limiter.

When I was deciding which vehicle to buy the 2 top choices were the WK2 and the Porsche Cayenne Turbo. I really really like that the Cayenne does great Offroad and Onroad. It manages this because it has an Air Suspension system.

I had hoped that Jeep would also make an SRT8 version with the same capabilities but...

I know this is probably blasphemy to most if not all of the current WK2 SRT8 owners but I just had to ask.

So... lets hear it. YES or NO?

Re: Is Wanting a 4x4 Capable SRT8 Wrong?

Honestly, they could do it but the added cost would drive them out of their market. Porsche has it and they are the only ones. From what I know having owned one it's a great feature if you live in Dubai and have more money than brains but none of the people I know who had one ever took it offroad or even considered it. The only advantage the air ride had was lowering at speed and leveling when towing. Most felt it was overkill and given the option would probably delete the offroad capability to get better on road handling. Another thing to consider, with the large wheel requirements due to the brakes the Cayenne TT has never really been a capable offroad vehicle due to lack of proper offroad tires.
