I don't have a jeep yet.. but I am very close to making my decision on going with a 2017 GC SRT...
Very exciting.. I'm currently driving a 2008 F150 Harley, but I'm looking forward to moving to a smaller vehicle with the extra ponies to make life fun....
My question is in regards to towing. I have a 21 ft Travel Trailer that I pull 5 - 10 times a year and one of my main decisions on going with the jeep is that it is one of the only Mid Size SUV's that has a towing rating above 7000 lbs.
My trailer is ~5000 lbs fully loaded... I know the SRT is going to have the power to pull the trailer (and rated for 7200 lbs), but are there any things i need to be weary about with regards to pulling a trailer in the 5-7k lbs range? (Aside from Fuel consumption lol .. my ford gets like 8mpg pullin a trailer anyway)
Who has experience pulling a trailer >5000 lbs with their SRT? Will I see any "stability" issues? (obviously it is going to feel a bit different coming from a 1/2 ton)..
Thanks a bunch!!
