Opinion on used SRT

I have a 2015 Summit that I will trade for a 14 SRT (max steel with sepia). My only question is, is $47K too much for a 44k mile SRT? The SRT come with new rubber, SRT high performance audio, tow package, injen intake, weather tech mats front back and rear cargo, 3M clear bra and pano roof. What are your thoughts? Pull the trigger or keep looking?

Re: Opinion on used SRT

Too much IMO!! Just about 45,000 miles already? I dunno, if I were to buy an SRT for probably just a few grand more get one with low miles and not one that's been driven like crazy day in and day out. Having an injen intake is not a good selling point IMO. Yeah I know it's just an intake, but in a car like that I would want stock.
There has to be ones with MUCH less mileage for about the same price, or very low mileage somewhere in the low 50s.

Re: Opinion on used SRT

Agreed. I've committed myself to buying one and perhaps I'm jumping at one of the first ones I see. Thanks for your commentary.

Opinion on used SRT

Definitely don't just jump and settle with a purchase that large - and definitely don't just jump on a used SRT. I suggest buying new if you can, but if not do your research.

Most of us SRT owners/enthusiasts push our vehicles hard on the road but baby them in the garage! However some owners just beat them and trade them. You don't want a beat and trade situation.

Also check it good to make sure the previous owner didn't mod, reset to stock and dump it when the mods failed.

You will absolutely love the SRT. It's an incredible vehicle. Just take your time and make a smart purchase to ensure max enjoyment.

Re: Opinion on used SRT

^^^^

In my situation I first looked at a used 2014 SRT. 10000 miles, $61,000. Saw it from the street several times and finally convinced the girlfriend we should stop to look at it

But the more I looked the less I liked it. It had been a demo at the dealership for 4000 miles before being sold. So I knew everybody and their mother and the entire dealership must have taken it for joyrides. The more I thought about it, the more I realized the tires were shot, the brakes would need replacing soon. The last straw was finding french fries under the seats

I called another dealership and found a brand new 2014 with a better interior for only $3,000 more. I was this close to buying the used one, I'm glad I waited and did a bit more research

I was even able to have them both at home and compare them side-by-side

Good things come to those who wait, be patient and find the right one

Goodbye, power folding mirrors, suede headliner, air suspension, adjustable ride height, OD2, led DRL headlights, and a $$$$.... To go older and I assume more miles fooooor 475hp. Kicked the same decision around myself.....decided to pass..... Drop a Whipple in your summit, curb that horsepower craving. Driving it for 5yrs, save for hellcat

Re: Opinion on used SRT

I ended up paying a couple extra grand and picked up a 2015 SRT yesterday in White with Black interior (drove 600 miles round trip for it). 23k miles for $50k. I'm pretty happy with that deal. New tires, wheels are flawless and 9 service records on carfax so previous owner at least attempted to take care of it (previous owner buys a new SRT every year). I'm happy that I bought what I wanted and didn't sell myself short on higher miles and a color other than white. Made a few bucks on my 15 Summit. Now I simply cannot stop smiling. Thanks to all of you for your advice.
