15 SRT R-Rotor issues 400 mls

I bought my 2015 SRT a week ago and my rear passenger side rotor is showing groves pretty bad at only 400 mls. All other rotors are fine and smooth as should be. Haven't been driving or braking aggressive/hard yet still following the manufacture's recommendations on breaking in 500 and 1000 ml break in periods. Bringing in to the dealer tomorrow morning. Has anyone else experienced these issues if so was it covered and what mileage do they warranty this breaks at. I once had a dodge ram Daytona bought brand new, had warped rotors by around 1000 ml but didn't mention to the dealer until around 3k mls. Dealer said they would have replaced them if it was at or below 2500k mls so I was beat. Just don't want to end up getting beat again any info will be appreciated thanks.

Re: 15 SRT R-Rotor issues 400 mls

ZERO. they test drove it, felt the pulse - had them installed before I even knew they were taking care of it.

The great thing about it is, I bought it as a dealer demo.

Sounds like you have a good dealership. I called mine they said they're booked and to bring it in Monday . Wtf. I even sent them a pic of the rotor.

Re: 15 SRT R-Rotor issues 400 mls

I saw there was a recall for the lights, haven't noticed mine have any issues yet. I do however get a low clunk noise when letting off the breaks while stopping and takeoff at very low speeds. I guess it's that rear caliper hanging up which is causing my rotor wear. I'm hopping it's not the trans or rear issues I've been reading about. My truck build date was 2-15 and haven't had any updates yet since buying it.

Re: 15 SRT R-Rotor issues 400 mls

I think it's actually just a TSB. I called SRT and made some noise about the headlights. The dealer got involved too. It only took a day or two and both agreed to replace.

Your 15 May have the updated headligjts already. I was told on this forum there have been running changes to the headlights.

You may have got a stone or something in the caliper. Maybe bad luck?

Re: 15 SRT R-Rotor issues 400 mls

Engine19: I also have same rear passenger side rotor issue you mention above.

Since you were under 12k miles...did the dealer replace your rotor under warranty? I am assuming yes (my 2006 SRT Charger (when new) had the same issue and they replaced it since it was under the 12k miles). What did they say was the issue that caused it? Did they replace both rear rotor/pads...or just the one?

Appreciate anything you provide. I plan on taking my in later this week.

Re: 15 SRT R-Rotor issues 400 mls

Rslawle the dealer replaced the rotor and pads under warranty. I asked what caused the issue they said probably from sitting. My truck was built in Feb I bought it last day of march the problem started less then a week after so it didn't sit. I'm thinking some debris got caught between the pads and rotor or the pads had hair line cracks from the factory. My next issue is paint defects. My pasanger side a pillar has what looks like gray bare metal under the clear coat as if the white never took or ran down. It's about 2 1/2 ft by half in wide.
