15 SRT violent vibration during acceleration

Have about 1400 miles on my 15 Srt and diagnostic code P1416 just came on. Sit idle the car vibrates, speed up vibrates harder, after 30mph it's pretty violent. So disappointing...

Re: 15 SRT violent vibration during acceleration

Got here at 7:30am EST no SRT techs on Saturday won't look at it until Monday. No loaners, no surprise, now 9:20am been waiting for enterprise to come. Manager advised if fault is covered by manufacturer will cover rental otherwise out of my pocket. At this point stayed quiet, it's battle for another day. Just get me out of this f'ing place on my day off... Since purchasing brand new 15 SRT end of nov I've been here twice for 11 different issues. Not engine, this is the only one, but I swear it seems like the car is falling apart... FML

At enterprise... I'm now the proud driver of a Kia Soul.

Re: 15 SRT violent vibration during acceleration

I can certainly relate to your frustration as I went through a very similar situation myself a number of months back.

I wouldn't worry about the fault not being covered by Jeep. There is no question in my mind that this falls good and well in your warranty, so you'll be good to go there.

If (big if) the rental costs are somehow getting pushed on you...call SRT and voice your "Strong Frustrations". I had SRT pay for my rental over the course of a weekend and me putting on 500 miles more than I was allocated. Lol.

So yeah, I am confident things will be cool for you (except not having your SRT).

Mike

Re: 15 SRT violent vibration during acceleration

So are you good to go now, and what about the rental car issue, was that also taken care of?

Looks like they pulled one of the heads off and replaced 2 tappets.

Hope it works out for you SRT brother! Thats rare for a hemi engine to do that. The 6.4 is a great power plant.
