So my headlights adjust then step down gradually to the lowest setting and then jump back up to the highest setting.
This happens repeatedly as i drive. So far i have gotten new headlights and recalibration twice and the problem persisted. Took it to the jeep dealership and they are "unable to replicate the problem".
Has anyone had this happen? I was told the sensors are built into the headlight housings. This has been going on for over 6 months. Very frustrating.
I'm having an issue with my leveling sensors, too. When I start up my Jeep the lights go up and then back to where they were. They don't ever go lower than where they started which I know isn't right. On top of that they don't move when I'm driving. I can be going over speed bumps and stuff and the lights shoot up and down. Anyway, I went to the stealership yesterday for an oil change and inquired about the sensors on the suspension so the dude gave me the part numbers. I'm going to buy them online and install them myself. Have you installed these yourself or know exactly where they are? I'm really hoping this fixes my problem.
Also, when you say "recalibrated" is that something you did or the dealer had to do?
Well my truck has been at the dealer for over 7 weeks now. If i dont get it back by friday which i know i wont. Next monday will be the start of the 8th week. They have replaced both axle mounted sensors twice. They have replaced the headlight for the 3rd time. They have checked the wiring along the whole system.
Maybe ill get lucky and jeep will consider my car a lemon and give me a 2017. Glass half full kind of guy.
update after 3 months at the dealer the issue was unable to be resolved. They said that they have escalated the issue and if something comes up they will let me know. I understand there are hundreds of feet of wiring and sensors at the axles but what would you do if the dealer was unable to resolve this issue? Go somewhere else?
Call srt hot line and tell them your issue. Tell them that it's a safety issue and that you can't drive your vehicle at night because you can't see the road!
