Picked mine up today. Oddly it's a very noticeable difference in a good way. I remember looking at the gear number thinkin it looked funny, now it looks great as I'm driving. Rev and it lowers then settling in high speeds it remains high but as u speed up lowers again. Before just seem to rev to high to quick and not lower quick enough. Also mpg looks more favorable as I drive. I'm happy with it.

I'm dropping mine off in the morning for the newest PCM flash...we'll see if it helps the 1-2 slip issue the first shift of the day, along with a 4-5 slip in Sport and 6-5 "hard lurch" in Auto.

Re: 2015 Flash: 8HP70 SRT Transmission Shift Enhancements - New TSB 3/25/15

I had mine done at Landers and it was actually a pretty nice experience. Kevin Russell has been my service adviser/main point of contact and the few times I've dealt with him he has been straight forward and gotten things done exactly as I asked. I'd definitely speak with him if you can. He also waited until I got there to pick it up to ask if I wanted it run through their car wash, which I did not. He said he knows most of the SRT guys hand wash, so he wanted to ask before doing anything.

In addition to the transmission flash, they also did the TPMS update and finally got my steering wheel centered. I can definitely tell a difference with the transmission flash, in a good way. I'm interested to see how the week goes as it re-learns. Not sure how best to describe it, but the auto now has some more of the Sport shifting characteristics, without being too sporty.

Sounds awesome.
So,.....all in all, it's safe to say that possibly Jeep has gotten it together and has the problem fixed?

2015 Flash: 8HP70 SRT Transmission Shift Enhancements - New TSB 3/25/15

Update: i had this completed this morning and as mentioned by others, the vehicle performs markedly different in a good way. Shifts are smoother, more responsive and seemingly more in line for how this vehicle should have been delivered from the factory. I also no longer get the 8th gear groan and MDS lag when accelerating. 6-5 downshift is also noticeably smoother.

So far very pleased. Hopefully it continues to perform like this.

Re: 2015 Flash: 8HP70 SRT Transmission Shift Enhancements - New TSB 3/25/15

Just had this done this morning. Shifts feel smoother under light throttle. Down shifts aren't nearly as rough. Prior to this on occasion the 6-5 downshift and 3-2 downshift felt like I was deploying a parachute. More often under moderate throttle and quick deceleration. That seems to have diminished. Wot feels a touch smoother too. Gets up and goes and seems to be in the correct gear. Auto mode also feels a touch more peppy. So far 40 miles on her since the flash. Keep you posted. 4900 miles 2015 srt jeep

Does this not apply to 14s? I thought they are mechanically identical. Mine has a March 2013 build date making it an early 2014 (first at the dealer) and I'm taking mine in for service today and one of my gripes is the rough downshifting.

I believe it is only for the '15s

Came back a week after I got the update reflash. Now it's worse then when I took it in in the first place.
