Same here. I concur with your deduction.

That happens to me everytime my wife leaves her keys in the jeep and I lock it with mine. The only difference is the doors stay locked.

Re: a few '14 issues

I haven't seen those issues with my 2014 SRT. I took delivery in April, and so far so good.
I sometime lose the XM Radio signal, but it happens also on my other car...No issue with the door lock/unlock or any other electronics. And my car stays outside...
I had a Tahoe 2007 LTZ, and had issues at the begining...seems to be the opposite !

Re: a few '14 issues

My Overland that I picked up friday has been hit or miss on the keyless/fobless entry..

When the salesguy was demonstrating all the features on delivery, it didn't work. He called the service manager, who suggested separating the key fobs, moving any cellphones away, etc etc.. no go. So he made a note to get that fixed.

Drove half an hour to dinner, when I got out of the jeep it worked fine. Worked fine all day Saturday. Yesterday, it didn't work at all. We'll see what today brings.

Re: a few '14 issues

Interesting to see these glitches aren't that uncommon. I took delivery July 7 and haven't had too much seat time. After 400 miles I still can't figure out the keyless entry. With the fob in my pocket and the doors locked, when I reach out to touch the door handle, the car unlocks. Yes, before I touch the door handle, the car unlocks. Freaks me out a bit.

Also, the first time I took the car into the dealer (for inspection sticker) I left the key fob in the cup holder with the door open. Check-in attendant comes over and closes the door as we leave and the car locks - with the keys inside! Isn't there some standard lock out prevention? They had no problem making a new key, but I'm not too comfortable knowing that you can lock yourself out of the car.

Last issue is a yellow check engine light after 400 miles. Pretty cool that the car comes with it's own dash diagnostic OBDII reader which indicated some catalytic converter warning. I understand this is not all that uncommon as the sensitivity of these government enforced monitors are now extremely tight. The code seems to clear itself out of the diagnostic reader, but it may take several start-ups to clear the yellow warning light. I went through a LOT of these CEL's with my first Viper. It's more an annoyance than a real problem as the yellow CEL has no actual engine parameter effect.

Hopefully after a bit of babying, more spirited driving will help with the yellow alerts.

I hope your right about the light being an annoyance and not an issue.

Re: a few '14 issues

You should not be able to lock the veh with fob inside until the after serveral attempts (like 4) to lock. Also, should not lock unless going over a certain speed (15mph?) or you hit door handle button or use the fob. Dealer needs to fix this issue.

Hey! The screen frozes on the regular basis now, sometimes I have to sit and wait until the Nav will come in. Maybe any of you guys know the way to reset/restart it? Thank you for your help!
