AC warm above 74 deg
Put on about 6000 miles so far, and love this Jeep still. Only real problem encountered was clunk from 4-5 which is gone for the most part.
I live in FL and temps are around 80-90. Since Ive had the Jeep, I noticed the AC was much much warmer at the same temp as my previous car and any other car I compare it to. When the temp in the Jeep is above 74 degrees, it turns to heat...at and below 74 ..cold air. Was just in an audi today, and the AC blows freezing air even at 77 deg.
If I put the Auto AC on and set it to 74 degrees, cold then hot air, back and fourth. If I set it on 75, forget it, jeep becomes a sweat box blowing hot air.
I haven't been in a rush to do anything about it and thought it was just normal for Jeeps to blow cold air at a lower temp setting, until one cooler morning I turned the front defrost on and one side was blowing HOT air and one side was blowing COLD air. I just started laughing. But figured something is probably going on and need to get it checked out.
Setting up an appt at dealership next week, just curious if anyone experienced the same problems or can give me a heads up what I may get into at service dept. Used the search function on here and google, and cant find anything w/ a description that fits mine. Thanks.
