Re: Ambient Light Color Control If Equipped?

Well, since there is no button I assume it was nixed. Maybe ill take a look at the lights to see if there are multiple led's for different colors (assuming they are LED's) Can someone else check their lights and see if they notice additional colors? Maybe you can simply add a switch, that would be neat.

Re: Ambient Light Color Control If Equipped?

It is an aftermarket Mopar accessory you have to install yourself/pay dealer to install. I believe it was originally slated as an option on purchase for the WK2 when it came out but was scrapped.

Re: Ambient Light Color Control If Equipped?

it is not on the 2012 srt8 but it is in the manual. very strange. inside is a blueish/green color and i cannot change it.

Re: Ambient Light Color Control If Equipped?

I wonder how you cut the hole in the console to install the control button as pictured in the manual if you or the dealer install this light trick?

I guess this could be an option from MY14 on. Looking at other manufacturers, this color-changing option seems to be a new trend.

I think the MOPAR-accessory had a different botton - or some kind of dial that is glued on the center-console. Having a glued on control with a wire running over the dash/console wouldn't cut it for me. So hopefully, this will come from the factory at some point in time.

Re: Ambient Light Color Control If Equipped?

In the regular JGC Limited and Overland you can change the color of the ambient lighting; 3 different colors I believe. This did not carry over into the SRT8. I would have liked more of a blue interior lighting, but still like the green that they have gone with.

Re: Ambient Light Color Control If Equipped?

Here is where you can order the accessory to change the lights. I would love another color. There is a PDF file here that also tells you how. http://jeepparts.mopar.com/jeep/gran...cessories.html
