Add me to the list, the carbon fiber trim on the passenger side totally warped and pulled away from the dash.

Re: Carbon Fiber Warped in Hot Sun

You guys might want to post your build date to see if you can determine a cutoff for the bad CF pieces.

Yeah, I saw the chat notes, I don't anticipate an issue getting it replaced. Multiple trips to the dealer to get it taken care of is a pain....

Re: Carbon Fiber Warped in Hot Sun

I have 2 pieces currently ordered, the dash piece and the back door driver side. Annoying but its just aesthetics.

Yes it's bad but not to be unexpected in a first model year of a product. Look at the 2013 Ford Escape, 3 recalls in 2 weeks and those are all safety concerns (one being fuel leak that could cause a fire) these are just cosmetic.

That being said am I happy about having to bring it to the dealer for things other than maintenance...no.

Mongoose9400 is an unknown quantity at this point
That's a bummer! I bought mine in early Jan and still no problems. Maybe since I ride dirty with the limo tint and windshield tint it helps protect mine? It's parked in the NM desert heat often. It's seen plenty 100+ days in the sun.

Re: Carbon Fiber Warped in Hot Sun

I got mine December 22. Mine was #20 off the production line if memory serves me correctly but was stuck in Livernoise for months. Not sure if Milous can help us out with early production and late production vs delivery to narrow this down but I am going to talk to my dealership about replacing all of the trim. I don't have the time or patience to keep going back every couple of months for new trim.

FYI I got the the Wincos tint on my fronts that are supposed to reflect 95% of infared heat or something like that....I measured window temp with a laser gun and there was no difference between the front and the rear. Not worth the extra $....complete bogus IMHO.

That stinks. I hadn't seen that piece come off in any of the other posts. Had my car in this morning to repair the damage the service tech inflicted on the passenger side air conditioning vent when they replaced the warped carbon fiber trim in my car. They broke all the tabs in the vent and tried to stuff it back together.
