Re: Carbon Fiber Warped in Hot Sun

I had the passenger carbon fibre door trim replaced today. It was a relatively painless process, other than having to take the Jeep to the dealership to have the work done. The dealership ordered in the dash pieces, so they will have them in the event the pieces on my jeep start to warp. Hopefully we won't need them (fingers crossed).

Re: Carbon Fiber Warped in Hot Sun

Submitted photos to dealer and he will then create a case. He said it will take a few weeks - whether thats for the parts or just the approval to fix I'm not sure about

These parts were supposedly improved and/or new vendor to prevent this over a year ago. Looks like it's not the case considering they are on all late 2013's and all 2014's.

for the parts. Approval is done through dealer connect system, Chrysler reviews many warranty claims via computer submittal with attached pics. These parts even take forever here in the states, so don't feel bad. My last three pieces on my 2012 took 4 weeks.

Then it is your dealers fault. An email with the pics takes seconds to do. They probably did not do it, or forgot to send it or check on the status. Chrysler would at least reply with a refusal if they weren't going to cover it. They aren't going to let a claim is in the window for days/weeks/months on end.

Re: Carbon Fiber Warped in Hot Sun

Chryco has had three years to get this right. Obviously that have made no changes to the CF trim and just keep serving bad food. Maybe they should dump the CF and go with aluminum from here on out

The old & new parts look identical. If something was changed, it must be associated with the material or manufacturing process.

The parts have "Made In China" moulded on the back plates. Need I say more?

I did all the photos for them so they can't use that excuse. They blame the US
