Question Clunk from P to D or P to R

Just noticed a clunk starting yesterday after the jeep sits for 2 hours or more and I go to drive or Reverse from park. Seems to happen whenever not warm or has not been driving recently. 2014 SRT with a bit over 12000 miles, never heard this clunk before, it almost feels like the engine and trans are not hooked up then catch, I dont know maybe cold torque converter problem? It didnt do this in below 0 weather and I dont think its the brakes because it happens after only a few hours sitting. Am taking it into service friday. Anyone else have this?

Mine does it too occasionally. Seems to happen more often when on a slight slope even though I always use the parking brake.

Re: Clunk from P to D or P to R

Mine does it sometimes if I am parked on a incline. That is until figured out to put it in neutral, let it roll an inch or so then put it in gear. This seems to have eliminated the clunk.

It didnt do it today even though yesterday did it twice. I also parked it in the same exact spot and orientation (at work). Today was about 25 degrees warmer then yesterday, im interested to see if the dealership will find anything.

Don't make yourself sick over it. My 14 does/does not do it. No particular conditions "seem" to cause it to come or go.

Same exprience here - got a couple clunks in cold weather and none since - I make sure to warm the car up and it has not happen again. - Strange
