The only thing I have in Sport mode is a couple of delayed (not crisp) shifts under power in 5-6th but it is getting better so most like a "learn" pattern that is taking care of itself!

With that said, I appreciate all the information and feel bad for all of you that have these issues. As it has been said, these transmissions are in quite a bit of German and other vehicles so my best guess is the SRT programming for the Jeep is causing some issues. Hopefully with the new TSB's and all of us banding together to get Jeep to correct will take care of the issues. I for one love my SRT and hope that mine does not all of a sudden develop these issues.

Thanks for keeping all of us in the loop with the issues, TSB's and now Jeep stepping up to replace your vehicle! Ron

Thanks for the post. It's reassuring to know there are good SRT's out there before I order another one.

That Challenger SRT 392 is mighty tempting though.

Nice! Was it a direct replacement or did you upgrade anything?

No, I got it exactly the same, Billet silver with tow package, black chrome wheels, pano roof, HK audio. I don't own any cd's anymore and my kids all have iPads so no CD player or rear entertainment for me. The MSRP was about $400 higher than when I bought my first one in Nov 14', so I'm going to see if Chrysler with eat that cost too. I'm pretty happy with how it's optioned out, but I have this feeling they're going to announce the hellcat version the day mine is delivered. Lol. Oh well. I'm also interested to see if the paint quality will be any better on the new one as it will be coming out of the updated paint facility at JNAP. I didn't have any complaints about my old one other than I'd like to see less orange peel texture to the paint.

It sounds like I should be getting my original SRT back on Monday, they're finishing putting the new rear diff and axles in it yet. Honestly I don't care if the problem is fixed or not other than maybe it could save some other poor shlub the headache I've been through by being the test mule it has become.

For all you've been through and your continued loyalty to the brand, they should eat the $400 and then some!! I think they should get the tranny right before dropping the hellcat in or some of us are gonna need neck braces just to get thru the gear shifts!!!! 😂

Hellcat version will be in the 90K region and if the current debacle with the charger/challenger is any indication, it would be well over a year before you could get one anyway.

I agree about the tranny. I've been reading some good results with the latest software update for it though. It really is a good trans. It's just crippled by poor programming. IMO.

$90k is out of my league. Add dealer markups to that and I'm sure you're at 110-120k for the initial run. I thought hard about going to a Charger SRT 392, but I don't want to give up the practicality of the Jeep. Especially the AWD for bad weather. Really, another consideration is the safety of these vehicles, they seem to hold up well in accidents, maybe we have Mercedes-Benz to thank for that. I've been testing out other vehicles and frankly I haven't found another vehicle that does what the Jeep does for me. So I guess it's another Jeep SRT. Even after all I've been through I really feel Chrysler stepped up and did the right thing for me. Granted there were days I wanted to reach through the phone and strangle someone, but for the most part the people I've dealt with on Chrysler's end have been good to deal with. I think the key is to be persistent, firm, and polite. I only got a little sassy with one guy who was trying to defend my awful dealers actions, but once I was assign a case manager I found that they were trying to take care of me. Yeah I wish I'd been given a rental car for more of the time they had my Jeep and yes it sucks making a payment and insuring a vehicle your not even able to drive, but hey, they've thrown everything they had at my SRT to try to fix it and make me happy, even to the point of now ordering another for me. So in this case I'm still a loyal customer, even if I have to eat the $400 increase.

Clunk/thunk on 6-5 coasting downshift.

Called today to check on the rear diff and axle swap. It did not fix the problem. I told the dealership I'm going to pick the vehicle up and drive it as is until my replacement arrives. They are unsure if ISG was going to allow me to have the vehicle back..WTF? I'm going to give them a little time before I show up with the Sheriffs department to get my vehicle back. I'm still the title holder and am carrying the insurance. As per the agreement with ISG I can continue to use the vehicle until my replacement arrives. The only stipulation is that I bring it back free of damaged and clean.

So where the heck is the noise actually coming from? There's nothing left in the drivetrain to replace is there?

The only thing left is the transfer case. I'm done.

Lol make them replace that too, or we'll never know...unless it's actually not in the drive train or something...suspension?
