Well that was the LAST one I will ever own, and already convinced one of my Customers to not buy a Jeep because of my issues. He was looking at a SRT 2 days ago and called me yesterday. I told him buy a car from a company who will stand behind it. He will be buying a x5.

There's is so much good in those vehicles but unfortunately the Service and Customer Care make the car worthless. 👎🏻 FCA

Sorry for your issues enjoy the new car.

Hey Silver, anything new with yours? I just got my shifter recall notice and they are going to look at mine again during that service. Very frustrating to say the least. I know some say they have just lived with it, but it completely annoys me!

The best thing happened to me that could have.... I got rid of that junk box. It's a shame, they look great and have the potential to be a great vehicle, if the company would stand behind them. Good luck with yours. I love the new vehicle and it would have been worth loosing $20k, not to have to deal with Ziegler and Chrysler/Jeep ever again.

Try changing the differential fluid with the recommended oil. This may help or not, but it is a thought.

Re: Clunk/thunk on 6-5 coasting downshift.

Holy cow add me to the list. I just bought a used 14 one owner with 26k. I seriously thought it was a characteristic of the beefy trans. I was ready to buy 5pt harnesses bc it feels like a F1 car trans braking. So I just learned a new driving style with the way it downshifts. Braking for a light, I press the brake pedal til 45mph under and let off, then it downshifts auto braking bt 4 to 3 slowing me down 10mph, then it hits 2nd and I brake to a stop. I've put 2k on it so far and have an appt to see the dealership about it next week for the rough downshifting. I figured out this can't be normal and scheduled service. Now I just read all pages of this thread and I'm just gonna ask for updates and no mechanical work be performed. Seems replacing all components of the drivetrain fixes nothing 100% and I don't want to be without my SRT, I'm still in the modding process. I love it and will deal with the rough shifts if it has to be that way. I have an extended warranty and it take it in when I reach the frustration level some of you are at. I'm just too happy with everything else it does for me power wise. I do have the weird 6 to 5 downshifting also, but no clunking yet. Lol, I think this may be why the previous owner traded it in.

Has anyone had their tranny replaced by Jeep for the problem?

So they did the shifter recall and a flash. She shifts like a beast now and all my issues are gone.

Do you have to pay for it or is it under warranty type of thing?

I do sometimes hear clunk when it's downshifting from 2-1 when I come to a stop and it's in Auto mode.
