Re: Drivetrain "clunk" noise - 2014 wk2 srt

Got my SRT back yesterday. My district Rep. Is now claiming it's driving normal. I told my case manager I want to meet my district Rep and take her for a drive to demonstrate the problem. We'll see. I think they don't know how to fix it so they're going to try to get me to go away. I'll keep you posted. So far my awful SRT experience. Only 2,282 mile now.

1. Valve body
2. Check all software is up to date.
3. Replace transmission and tq converter.
4. Deny, deny, deny.

Mine is better so far, but I don't think I would go so far as to say they have gotten all the problems out if these transmissions, and I think they know it, but are affraid if this gets out main stream, they are looking at big bucks and possible recalls, there is in MHO flaws in these 8 speed transmissions that they better come up with a true fix for

The more I read about this, the more I agree with the bolded type.
Not only are the SRT Jeeps having transmission problems, but so are the A8 Hellcat Challengers. Not the same trans., but both 8 speeds.

Where have you seen the A8 HC Challengers having issues? Presumably the A8 HC Chargers with the same 8HP90 would have issues too if this is the case.

It's on challengertalk.com in the Hellcat section.
I think it applies to just the 6.2L supercharged engines.

Re: Drivetrain "clunk" noise - 2014 wk2 srt

I am gutted...problem not remotely fixed. If I didn't know better I'd think they hadn't even replaced the tranny. Identical behavior as soon as the tranny got >140F, with jerky downshifts and clunk on 6-5. Ironically, it behaved better than this for the first few hundred miles after I bought it (if you see my other earlier posts).

They kinda fixed some of my other issues or have outstanding requests with Chrysler to resolve, but I'm pretty much done at this point...not confident the driveline issues can or will be fixed. Will continue whatever actions are necessary to have them buyback the vehicle.

What a disappointment all in all.
