The only consistency in mine was the 28MPH mark. Didn't seem to matter what gear it was in or was going to. I had the shop foreman ride with me and he confirmed.

Why the hell can't we get a comprehensive software TSB for the 2015 SRT like this one for the diesels? At least on paper, seems to resolve a LOT of issues.

No kidding. Hopefully a update for ours isn't far behind. Are you getting any 3-2 clunks while coming to a stop?

I get random clunks all the way down from 7-6, going into reverse, etc...

Re: Drivetrain "clunk" noise - 2014 wk2 srt

Still waiting for Chrysler care to call me back. I left messages on Friday and again this morning. I'm going to give it the rest of today then I'm calling them once more tomorrow to see if I can get my case managers higher up. It's getting to be attorney time.

Re: Drivetrain "clunk" noise - 2014 wk2 srt

Engineers drove the car today, and will drive again tomorrow morning and call me back. My contact says she suspects that they are going to say this is simply a characteristic of the vehicle that I'm unsatisfied with. They are going to drive other vehicles that have had similar complaints as well between today and tomorrow. She said that regardless, it won't affect my ability to pursure a buyback/replacement...but if they claim this is normal for SRT, then I won't be ordering another unfortunately.

I am going to post a poll and see if anyone else with a 2015 can confirm a consistent 6-5 jerk on downshift, and accompanying clunking when warmed to 190F+...I want to see if this is something I'm just abnormally sensitive to, or whether there are a large number of vehicles that do NOT exhibit this behavior at all.

That's unacceptable. If it were their vehicle, I'm sure they wouldn't want to live it. That's poor. Hoping for a good outcome. Good luck.
And great idea about the poll.

Re: Drivetrain "clunk" noise - 2014 wk2 srt

Like some here, my 14 SRT, just has never down shifted well.... Two valve body replacements and latest software updates, and still not really happy with this new 8 speed trans, the 5 speed one in my 09 Hemi Ram truck was just fine, but this one, kinda sucks, rough weird downshifts, in certain gears and opertating conditions, always works better before it learns for some reason.... As I may have said, its not terrible, but it certainly should be much better.... As I have't found any new vehicles I like better, or really want... I guess Land Rover Sport would come close, but thats about an additional 20-30 K above my SRT with the 500HP engine etc.... I will just hang on to my SRT, and learn to live with it's tranny.... No point in a buy back for me when so many 2015 owners are having similar or worse problems, overall I like everything else about my SRT, good looks, sweet interrior, great sound system, U-connect best system on the market, outstanding performance, a big V8, no super or turbo chargers, great brakes, and just knowing it can smoke many other overly expensive high performance vehicles just puts a smile on my face

Re: Drivetrain "clunk" noise - 2014 wk2 srt

For those of you having problems, have you tried putting it in Sport Mode to see what difference it makes? I've not spent a lot of time doing this, but the couple of times I did, the clunk went away. I know it's not a fix, but is interesting the impact it may (or may not have) with this issue.

Drivetrain "clunk" noise - 2014 wk2 srt

I get the same clunk/jolt regardless. Maybe a little worse in sport. It's in every mode as well. The only time I get a smooth shift is when the engine and tranny are cold.
