Fender flares coming unstuck anyone?

Called the number and finally got an appointment at a new dealership. Thanks guys.

The new dealership is SRT and VIPER certified. I hope that means something.

No argument from the dealer when I took mine in last service. Brand new flares plus front air dam/spoiler as it had a paint bubble from new under the headlights, got it back yesterday from service and all is well now.

Re: Fender flares coming unstuck anyone?

Never saw this thread before, but I just noticed my flares coming out yesterday on my 15. Guess I'll be making a dealer trip.

Don't waste your time going to the dealer on this. Just fixed mine by screwing an automotive black screw in the tab... Not worth the hassle to go to the dealer...

This didn't completely fix it for me it still popped out a little from where it should be. I decided it was good enough though.

Re: Fender flares coming unstuck anyone?

I'm not understanding why dealers are replacing the entire piece of trim rather than just reattaching. What is a brand new piece of trim going to solve that new clips/adhesive tape will not?

What do the clips actually look like? I am used to these being used:

Re: Fender flares coming unstuck anyone?

I looked at new Jeeps again. A couple of the new Summits on the lot already had their fender flares coming loose, but could not find the same problem on Overlands, Limiteds, and Laredos. Is it really only a problem with the larger flares that are on the Summit and SRT? I looked underneath and as closely as I could without prying anything off, and they seem to be attached quite differently on Summit/SRT vs. other models.

FYI, the ones I saw coming loose--the tape had not disintegrated in the center, but the adhesive had simply let loose from the flare. I could feel the adhesive was still on the tape and the tape was still fully attached to the body.

Re: Fender flares coming unstuck anyone?

Heya guys. I'm also dealing with the awesome flare popping out from the top issue on my '15 SRT. Has anyone had enough and removed the flares altogether? Was wondering if anyone could share some photos. I searched the threads and have not come up with any hits so far.

Thanks.
