Re: Oil Change Disaster
When I was about 16, I worked at a Shell service station. Back then oil and antifreeze came in round quart and gallon tin cans. It had come a cold spell and I had been putting antifreeze in cars all day. Then a man came in for an oil change. I drained his oil and then stuck the spout in a gallon oil can and took off the radiator cap and started pouring it in. About the time it overflowed, I realized what I had done. I saw the man coming my way and the only thing I could do was pretend it never happened. I wiped off the spilled oil, filled his engine with new oil and sent him on his way. I never saw him again. That was 50 years ago and I still remember it vividly.
