Re: Poor Fuel Economy?

I have a 2015 grand Cherokee srt. I've put about 600 miles on it so far and average mpg is between 9-13, so about 11-12 on most tanks. About half, 200-300 of the miles were on highway. Kind of disappointed with mpg performance as this is at the minimum or beneath the epa ranges.

Best thing for MPG is take your right foot off the gas.

You don't get Power without Cost. More powa more fuel. your moving a 5500lb suv with the aerodynamics of a brick.

plus the SRT doesn't start hitting it's stride and learning your habits till around 3,000 to 5,000 Miles.

Re: Poor Fuel Economy?

My 14 gets 13 average city only normal driving. 19 interstate only 79mph eco off shifter set sport mode.

I have not tried eco on in the city but eco on the interstate drops the mpg running 70 or higher.

As info

Re: Poor Fuel Economy?

I get about 13 in daily driving; best mileage has been about 17.5 on the interstate. I'm hoping it will improve slightly as it breaks in (4k miles currently).

Re: Poor Fuel Economy?

Lol. I knew when I bought my 6.4L Hemi that I wouldnt even get close to the EPA estimated MPG. As previously mentioned your right foot is the biggest contributer to poor MPG. I average 15.5 mpg combined in ECO in my 15' SRT and 10.5mpg eco off driving like and ass.

Re: Poor Fuel Economy?

I'm getting 15 avg with some daily leadfooting. She'll get 19-21 on the interstate cruising at 70 mph. The slightest hill or wind can push it up or down.

Poor Fuel Economy?

I have 2k miles on my 14. I get 16.7 city 23 highway on average but i do have a tru cai, bigger TB, headers, x pipe, high flow cats and exhaust. Might help a little. No Tune. Took tune off didnt c a gain in anything.

BTW - I do drive it like i stole it after 750 miles on the engine and an oil change.
