Seat Belt Chime

Anyone know how to turn off the seatbelt chime on the '14 SRT8?

Re: Seat Belt Chime

I find Enforcers unique method works 100% of the time.

If that is not suitable you could try reading one of the many existing threads covering this already.

Here are two of them

Disabled Seat Belt Chime on 2014 JGC

Seat Belt Disarm

Re: Seat Belt Chime

1. Get inside car with ignition off.
2. Close doors and buckle seat belt in drivers side.
3. Push the push start button to ACC/Run Mode (do not turn on engine). This means only push the push start button, no need to depress brake, doing so will turn engine on, a big no no.
4. Wait for red seat belt light to turn off.
5. Unbuckle and rebuckle seat belt at least 3 times ending with seatbelt buckled. ( I unbuckled and rebuckled 4 times and it worked)
6. Push the push start button (turns off display). You will hear a single chime if you succeeded.

The above works. And yes it would work to put the seatbelt on, but that is quite an annoyance when I just go grab the mail, or run to my guest house, or run down to my race shop. Pretty pointless to buckle your seatbelt when you're still on your property or going very short distances.

I understand on your property, but the second you are off it is out of your control.

Your life, your choice.

Re: Seat Belt Chime

What I find funny, is that I automatically put my seatbelt on even when I'm just backing out of the garage. It's not that I want to, I get in the Jeep, hit start, hit eco to turn it off, hit the garage door button, and somehow by the time I press all the buttons my seatbelt is on.

Re: Seat Belt Chime

I disabled mine for when I put stuff on the passenger seat that's heavy the truck doesn't think I have a small child not wearing a seat belt in the front. My cases of wine really live on the edge
