Getting the flashing light then steady... But it's still reading all of my pressures??
Is there something I can do just to reset it? I am thinking there may have been an anomaly and it lost signal from a sensor due to outside signal interference or something.
Hate to make a trip to the dealer if it's reading the pressures.
Had this problem for over 9 months. Jeep have had 5 goes at fixing it. I have an escalated case now with Jeep, so they will be providing a rental car and work on the car until fixed. I have decided to wait until its next service next month to get it all done.
While I was in having my headlamps replaced they diagnosed the system. They said the main module/brain can not tell the locations of the sensors. The procedure said to replace the module.
Sounds like mine. I can make the light go off for 4 days if I pull the battery for a few minutes, but it will come back on. When they replaced the TPMS module, the problem went away for 2 weeks.
I will be getting my car serviced in a couple of weeks and have been told they will not give it back until it is sorted out permanently. I doubt it....
Dealer is lost. They want me to convert my interior cheap LEDS back to regular bulbs. The tech said they have seen all kind of quirky things happen when people change stuff on newer can bus vehicles. I actually believe him when I had my 2013 Rubicon I put LED fog lights on it and when I turned them on they used to trip my TPMS light briefly.
Anyone run into issues with LED INTERIOR swaps? I got mine on ebay, they are el-cheapo
They tried that BS on me. They blamed the Crashcam and headlight ribbon mod as the cause. I advised them that the problem started 4 months before I fitted any of them.
They refused to do any further work on the car until I removed them, so I did. It made no difference.....
It is just showing me they have no idea what is wrong.
I am dealing with my dealer ATM, but refuse to bring it in until they give me an action plan. Have you had any luck ?
They replaced all of my sensors on the wheels... Seems ok so far.
They found a culprit but time will tell. The right front sensor was a different part number. They said it didn't match the others. Not sure what was up with that... But it's under warranty and I have four new sensors.
Great to know. Mine is going in for work next Tuesday, so I will pass on this info.
Weird thing I noticed, is that my rear pressures seem to swap at times. The left will read 2.2bar and the right 2.4bar, then I will see on the next startup that they have swapped. I do know my right rear has a very slow leak, and this explains the lower pressure.
I only noticed this the other day when the left was reading low, but the hand held pressure gague said it was fine.
Well the problem still rolls on.
Took the car in for its 24k km service and to get them to look at the TPMS problem for the 6th time.
They reset the ECU and cleared the 3 error codes they got. They said it will come back, as they have not done anything, but to come back if it errors so they can get the most recent error code.
Next day the error comes on, they capture the code and now I wait.
Apparently they will replace the wheel sensors, as it looks like this is the problem. Will wait and see what they do next.
So call the dealer after hearing nothing since I had them capture the codes 2 weeks ago.
They said they are going to replace all the TPMS sensors in the wheels. Hopefully this will fix the problem.
Had all the TPM units replaced in the wheels today. They reset the car, as it needed to be put in a learning cycle after the change.
So far so good, but I have only driven for an hour.
So far So good.
At this stage it looks like the TPMS in the wheels was the problem.
If anyone is having this problem, get them to replace the wheel sensors.
Yep, their words were that JeepAU will not authorise the replacement, yet they were going to replace the wiring.
I have still not has any problems since.
