Slight Oil leak...seeking help.

So, I was installing some "bling" from West Coast Fasteners on my coil packs, and happened to notice a small area just below the passenger side fuel rail that was covered in oil. Pictures show the area and what appears to be the source, but is it something I should be worried about?

I can't imagine a tech being so sloppy that they'd spill oil on the opposite side during an oil change. My gut tells me I should have it looked at.

In the above pic you can see that they oil has seeped into a decent sized area.

In this picture, it appears that the oil is pooling under this bolt. I'm by no means the mechanical type, so maybe this is glaringly obvious to someone reading this? Hope the pictures help more than they confuse.

Thanks for any and all help.

Mike

Could be the bolt seals. spray it off with some brake clean or the hose see if it comes back.

Yeah clean it up and monitor it daily so you can tell the Service dept what you found. I had a small leak on my 11' 5.7 with 20K on it. The dealership said there was nothing leaking, when I could smell burning oil and puffs of smoke every now and then. They changed my cabin filter and sent me on my way. I then videoed the smoke and where it was dripping on the exhaust shield. I took it back and the next day they said they were replacing the complete head under warranty. I asked what was wrong and they said Factory defect and the was an anomaly on the corner edge. I didn't care just as long as it was fixed and it was solved after that. It was a minuscule amount of oil dripping on the exhaust, but just enough to burn off as soon as it hit. The only trace was the bright aluminum shield with some slight black drip stains burned into it.
Those small mystery leaks go to the dealership.

Re: Slight Oil leak...seeking help.

My guess from the pictures would be the valve cover gasket seeping/leaking, definitely not common on the hemi though

Re: Slight Oil leak...seeking help.

Well, dealership never responded to my emails, so I was not able to get in to have the SRT looked at. I'll have to try again next week.

Good news is, the oil doesn't seem to have spread anymore, so it stands to reason that it is a very slow leak. Not something I want to live with though.
