Thats a good way to describe the smell. Park the vehicle in the sun for the day, that's when mine smells the most... Let me know.

I had the same thing when I picked mine up. Seemed to be worse when I turned on the AC. It seems to have dissipated over the few days.

Re: Smelly vehicle!

Mine has the same thing. I did notice that it gets worse when I leave the A/C on and shut off the car. Has anyone figured out anything on this problem yet?

Unhappy Re: Smelly vehicle!

Weird , it rained here a week ago and after the rain stopped I noticed a weird smell in the car , something like dead fish... Seems this is a common issue... Interesting.

Re: Smelly vehicle!

I have the Saddle Browns in my XK and Im familiar with the smell you are getting, not to the extent but its a strange smell. Just a thought..
Also try changing cabin filter and buy AC cleanser, Ive used it for years to get rid of the musty AC smell

Re: Smelly vehicle!

Update to the thread..
Haven't really thought about the smell for months as it dissapated, so I think its only in brand new vehicles for a few months, probably all the new materials releasing their fumes etc..

You can air out the car on a daily basis, but I think time will be the biggest factor in the fishy smell going away...
