Re: Squeeky brakes?

I called the service manager one more time last night to make sure this was covered. I told her I got a message the rotors were in and I just wanted to verify my appt and that this was under warranty at no expense to me. She said yes.

I get there this morning and she looks at the TSB and says, "Oh this is brakes? I was just told this was a TSB. Brakes are 12/12." I give her a nice glare and then tell her it has less than 12k miles and she said oh ok you're good. Asked to keep the old rotors and she said no

Have you tried track mode? Heres mine. I wish I could have felt the way it used to shift stock because this is kind of ridiculous. The roughest shift is at :01, you can see my phone shake. Even 2-3 was a bit jerky. 4-5 doesn't appear to be laggy as it is in Auto.

I'm not entirely sure what you're complaining about. Just to be sure, you do realize in sport, and even more so in track mode, the shifting is supposed to be much harsher, quicker, and violent? Smooth, unfelt shifting is for comfort purposes only - for grocery getter cars/travel modes. If you are racing, you want the car to shift as fast as possible. Smooth shifts are accomplished with low pressure and slippage so the gears don't grab as quick and jarr you. Track style shifts are rapid and consequently jerky - you don't lose time and acceleration waiting longer for the transmission to shift gears.

Ya I need to compare track mode and auto/sport shifting 0 to 60s. Just feels like the shifts take longer but it could just be the body reacting the harshness

Im not necessarily complaining as I wont use track mode, unless Im racing, but from everything Ive read, track shifting used to be smoother. Did the update net faster times?

I haven't compared either but I know this is the case.

I wouldn't want the shifting to be smoother in track. Make it as firm and aggressive as it can be. I didn't buy this vehicle to be a grandma - unleash the beast.

Re: Squeeky brakes?

Got a call from the Service Manager. Radio frequency and HVAC warranties done but she called Chrysler and they wont cover the brakes since 12 months passed. I said 12 months havent passed since the TSB came out and she said they go by in service date. I then mentioned I got 4 confirmations from her and her rep who said it was covered and she recommended I call Chrysler.

Luckily they didnt remove the stock rotors so Im going back to pick it up. Yay for squeaky brakes on $72k vehicle thats still under warranty! Ill buy the slotted rotors and put them on myself when the time comes
