Start then Stall MY12

Recently when i go to start my SRT she either starts for like 3 seconds stalls out then it cranks and cranks then i have to stop it then it turns over..

Mine was doing the same thing and I thought it was because it knew I was selling it. Glad to hear I wasn't going crazy. Did you get an resolution to this?
I did end up selling it and thankfully it started when they went to inspect it the day it was sold...needless to say I signed the papers quickly. Wonder if anyone on here bought it. It was originally at the BMW of Morristown (NJ) dealer and then they moved it across the street to their Mazda of Morristown dealer.

I have a 2012 as well with the exact same issue. It's actually in the dealer right now getting that serviced. The service advisor seemed very familiar with the problem. Says it's the fuel pump relay that needs to be replaced. I'm hoping to pick it up today and confirm the fix.

R09 14V-115 January 01, 0001 THE TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE (TIPM) CONTAINS AN INTERNAL FUEL PUMP RELAY THAT COULD OPERATE INTERMITTENTLY OR FAIL WITHOUT WARNING. AN INTERMITTENT OR FAILED FUEL PUMP RELAY COULD CAUSE THE ENGINE TO STALL WHILE DRIVING AND CAUSE A CRASH WITHOUT WARNING. THE TIPM INTERNAL FUEL PUMP RELAY MUST BE DISABLED AND AN EXTERNAL FUEL PUMP RELAY MUST BE INSTALLED. INCOMPLETE BUT REPAIR PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE

That recall notice is interesting. Did you get that via mail or did you find it online? I like to print out the TSBs/Recalls and show the dealer. Helps cut through the BS.

Regarding my previous post, I still haven't gotten my car back due to they're replacing the rack and pinion assembly (leaking power steering fluid, seems to be a common problem on 2012's.) I was told today it'll be done. Hopefully I can update this thread on what was done on the relay.

Thanks for going through the trouble of a screenshot. I also Googled "Chrysler recall fuel pump relay" and found a bunch of articles detailing the how and why. I think Fiat got scared straight with what they're seeing GM go through. Although it hasn't happened yet, the fuel pump relay has the potential to crap out while driving. That would be disasterous.

FYI, seems the dealer has no idea about the recall. Picked up my SRT today and they gave me the runaround that they couldn't reproduce the issue so no action was taken. I informed them that it is a full blown recall now and they tried to tell me it didn't apply to my VIN (it does, I checked Mopar Connect.)

Another day another experience with the dealership. Gotta love these people.

I got my recall in the mail as well. I haven't had any issues with it but I hope they send out a notice when parts are available.

This seems to be a recurring theme at Chrysler/Jeep - issuing recalls without the required parts in stock to do the work, e.g. the brake booster recall, the carbon fibre dash & door panel parts, etc...

Hi guys. I also had this problem with my 2012 GC Overland. Eventually had the TIPM changed under warranty. Fixed everything. Push the dealer to change it as I had the fuel relay changed but it came back after a while
