Tire wear

Took off my winter shoes and found my front tires were wearing down on the inside section of the tire. They are Pirelli ice and snow size 295/40/20. Is the height difference my issue or do I need an alignment ImageUploadedByJeepGarage1461619078.639824.jpgImageUploadedByJeepGarage1461619100.585544.jpg

Re: Tire wear

I have 3,800 miles on my SRT and about 30% left on the rear tires. I do punch it a lot, because it's so damn fun. Still, that's cray cray.

I have a 2012 with 50,000 miles. My first pair of original equipment Pirellis only lasted 20,000 miles because all four were excessively worn on the inside. My dealer was able to get a good mileage adjustment from Pirelli, and reset the alignment to factory settings, which had gone off. My second set are now evenly worn at 50,000 miles and are due for replacement.

From what I read on these forums, an average of 25,000 miles per set is very good, but it requires the correct alignment and tire pressures. I don't do any drag racing, but I do drive at high speed on the interstate.

Re: Tire wear

AFAIK, these trucks come off the line with -camber because they were built to track, and designed for some extra "umph" when cornering. Heck, the factory alignment spec range call for negative camber. Inside tire wear is to be expected IMO. If you want 0.00, your not using the SRT for what it was built to do.
