Transmission Slipping?

My '15 has about 3k miles on it and recently I have noticed when driving the vehicle after it has sat for a few hours, the transmission will slip going from 1-2. It revs up quite a bit and then catches. This is most noticeable when pulling out of the driveway or parking lots at slow speeds. Has anyone else had a similar issue? I know they just released a TSB for shift improvements for the 2015...I'm hoping it is something computer related and not mechanical.

I tried checking the fluid level, but apparently there is no dipstick.

Actually Ive noticed mine something similar, if I'm pulling out into traffic it seems to sound like I'm riding the clutch if you know what I mean

The same thing happens on my 2015. Like you said it usually happens in the morning or after not driving for a few hours and only on the first shift from 1-2. After that first shift it seems to be fine the rest of the time, even after stopping and shifting from 1-2 again. Will probably bring this up to the dealer when I take it in for an oil change.

Re: Transmission Slipping?

My '15 does this too. My 6 to 5 downshift is pretty rough too. Do you have a link to the TSB? Would like to bring it to the dealer since they usually stare at me confused when I mention things like this!!

This should be the link for the TSB for the 2015 SRT. Let me know when you take it to the dealer and if it makes it better. Thanks

Scott, I don't think it's the torque control program because it seems to only happen on the initial 1-2 upshift after the jeep has not been driven for a few hours. Mine still does same issue in sport mode. Is there any disadvantage to getting the available TSB for the transmission done? Will it negatively affect anything?

Transmission Slipping?

I had a previous tranny update done on my 14 limited before I traded to the 15 SRT and it did nothing!! Same issues still existed. I will mention the issues I'm having with the 15 when I bring it in for service next.
