I own a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland.
First a question...then a story.
How long will the car run with the doors locked when you send a Uconnect command via the mobile app?
Yesterday, I sent a remote start via the mobile app when I was leaving my office. I entered my pin..but DID NOT receive a confirmation. When i got to my car...it was NOT running. I got in the normal way and drove home. I parked in the garage, and turned my cell phone off.
This morning, I got up...turned on my phone, got in my jeep and drove to work. I parked in the garage, locked my car and rode the shuttle to my building. At 8:43 I got an email from the garage that my car was running with the doors locked. I was like "WTF?". FROM MY DESK I sent a SHUTDOWN command, entered my pin and then got confirmation that the kill request was received. I rode the shuttle out there anyway and when I got to my jeep...IT WAS STILL RUNNING!!!!
Now I am paranoid about the app, and probably won't use it. I need to know that if it receives a stray start command or something happens in the system, as to how long the car will run after receiving the remote start command via the app, and nobody with a fob approaches the car.
Thank you so much!
