Whistle and Battery Light
A few weeks ago my Jeep (2012 Grand Cherokee Laredo) wouldn't start. The dashboard indicated that it was some sort of security issue. I got out, locked the car, got back in and it started just fine. I had another start up issue the other day. It got stuck turning over (over and over and over again) and I couldn't stop it because I don't have a key - it's just the push start. Eventually it stopped. I got out, locked it, got back in, and it started fine.
I am not sure if these start up issues are related to what happened today...
Upon start up, I heard a distinct whistling sound. I had to go to work so I just kept driving. It seemed to go away, but now my battery light is on. I have read that if a light is red, it means don't drive the car. Do you think it's ok to drive it 3 miles to the auto place?
Any ideas what could be wrong, and if these issues are related? I have the worst luck with car problems and I don't want to keep spending money on it!
