Windows popping out at 140+ MPH.

Above 140mph or 230kph my front window gaps pop out a bit causing a howl. Does anyone have a fix for this? This only started happening this year on my 2014 SRT.

You could open the rear hatch to relieve the pressure. Lol. Or slow down a bit...How about some hundred mile an hour tape?

Re: Windows popping out at 140+ MPH.

Fortunately in parts of Europe we get to (legally) use our SRTs for more than street light racers and quarter mile weekends. Nothing better than flashing the fools who spent much more on BMW Xs and almost everything without an M or AMG into the slow lanes.

I've had her at V-max many times and only this year the problem with the front windows started.

I never experienced anything like that with my Laredo..? I would get that checked, it would suck to have the windshield blowing off...

Might get better responses in the WK2 SRT section.

Lucky you. What's the top speed anyway? I thought it was limited to 160.

Re: Windows popping out at 140+ MPH.

The front door windows on both sides near the mirrors. They start bowing out and howling now just above 140 mph. When she was new and for the first 2-years there was no problem up to 160+ mph.

Re: Windows popping out at 140+ MPH.

My bad description. It happens to the front door windows that bow out just a bit at high speed and cause a loud howling noise from 230+kph.

Re: Windows popping out at 140+ MPH.

I actually have the same exact howl at that same speed. Can't really see or look at my window to see if there is anything visible while driving at such speeds, but it terrified the living heck our of me the first time i heard it at such speeds.

I tried again and it happened again but this time i was able to just ever so lightly tap the effected window down button and everything went silent, and you can't even tell the window was down.

I need to take it to my dealer and tell them about it, but how can this be replicated? Surely they can't test drive it at such speeds to replicate the issue.
