Windshield Wiper Nozzles

I haven't seen this one mentioned on here yet.
Just received my 2012 JGC 2012 SRT8, (30K miles) and noticed that there was no wiper fluid spray, after inpection, noticed that the nozzle ends were broken off in the connector. Googled it and found this to be a common jeep issue.
Dealer sent me new ones and installing them was very simple as the old ones shattered into dust with very little preasure.

Q1 - has anyone else had this problem?
Q2 - anyone have a better fix or better substitue nozzle?
Q3 - how/where would one start a petition to get Daimler to look into this?

Thanks
Jay

Re: Windshield Wiper Nozzels

There are some other posts here about this. Maybe look under the non-SRT forums. Mine were replaced under warranty.

Trivial to replace. The '14 still seems to have somewhat fragile nozzles that break right where the tube plugs on.

There are aftermarket generic units, haven't tried, but those require more futzing around.

Re: Windshield Wiper Nozzels

One of my nozzles broke in December, 2013. It was replaced and I've had no nozzle problems since. (My windshield washer nozzle post)

Re: Windshield Wiper Nozzels

Thinking about trying to install these on the windshield wire cowl the Anco's don't fit on the OEM wiper arms 2013+ so I've been looking for a new squirter. The OEM ones are very fragile I agree.
Looks like they only need a tiny hole to install all the items below frequently bought together my be needed not sure just yet.

Even comes with a little key to redirect the spray if you need to.

Re: Windshield Wiper Nozzels

I have a replacement nozzle on the desk in front of me, for the right nozzle on my '14 Overland. The hose barb broke off, just like the right nozzle on my '07 Limited did last year.. not the same P/N, but it looks about the same..

Re: Windshield Wiper Nozzels

annnnd.... went out just now to replace the broken passenger-side nozzle, and the driver's side nozzle is also broken (it was OK when I checked it and found the passenger side broken a week ago)

so, yeah, I'd say it's a pretty common problem..

Hmmm, thanks fer the link. Those look better than the aftermarket ones the local parts stores carry.

Parts guy where I picked up one replacement warned me that the factory ones do tend to break, with the passenger side being more common.

Daimler wont help you 'coz they don't own Jeep. Fiat does.

Re: Windshield Wiper Nozzles

Picking up a Dorman one from the local parts store this morning for $15. Dealership wants $30 each. Hoping it works

Re: Windshield Wiper Nozzels

You can buy those on Ebay for the same price as the Dorman.

Windshield Wiper Nozzels

Picked them up. Local auto parts gave me a deal: a pair of Dorman ones for $11.82- $12.80 with tax.
Yes, cheaper, but the spray pattern is definitely not as nice as the factory original on the driver side.
You make the choice. The spare will definitely have a spot in the glove box for when the driver side craps out
