Re: Black Ops Carbon Fiber Diffuser Installed - Pics

I figure going fg just because I'm going to paint it. front should still be high enough not to smash stuff. I really need to make the drive to black ops was trying to wait till after christmas but I doubt that will happen.

thx Scott!
I think it was Bossman who had someone drop something on his carbon with no damage after I'm sure he can chime in for us. A curb might win tho It's still only a composite and only meant for deflecting wind moving air and putting some downforce on the front ya know?

As far as weight the diffuser has a boxed weight of 8# and the box is 185x48x18

A fiberglass has an unboxed weight of 2.98# I don't have a Carbon until the end of the month to weigh sorry.

Re: Black Ops Carbon Fiber Diffuser Installed - Pics

I had my car jacked up and they managed to drop it by mistake, the CF splitter smacked the metal handle really hard, 2 tonne SUV vs a hydraulic jack, it survived

Easy install.....just use the oem bolts at each corner and then use the supplied self tapping screws. I added a few strip of 3m double sided tape strategically around the splitter

Re: Black Ops Carbon Fiber Diffuser Installed - Pics

I did not get the screws with my diffuser sadly enough. I used rivets. First time went horribly wrong and I scratched the underside pretty bad when it came loose (thank god only the middle part dropped down a little). Painted that part black with plasti dip.
After this incident I used the biggest baddest rivets I could get! A small elephant can stand on it now and it won't come off

Had the truck up to +120mph and no wind noise...

I added a few strips of the 3m double sided tape to a few areas of the splitter plus the screws. Solid as a rock
